Matthew 24:30-35
Jesus refers His disciples to Daniel, where Daniel was pointing toward the Son of Man, the Messiah, who was to come. Jesus took Daniel’s words to point to himself. These things were right at the door, because Jesus was with them. He is the Messiah that was promised. He is the One who is bringing about the day of the Lord and the kingdom of God to earth. These things were happening in their midst.
This truth that the Messiah is going to make all things right is a truth that won’t pass away. While everything we know and experience is temporary, the things of God, including the words that Jesus spoke, will last forever. The words of Christ are trustworthy, because He is trustworthy. We are again reminded that even in the midst of whatever may come—hardship, pain, trial, or tribulation—God is, and will remain, faithful.
Create a list of the ways in which Christ has been trustworthy and true in your life. Consider sharing that list with another as a testimony to God’s faithfulness.
