Keep The Faith

July 12th, 2024

2 Corinthians 4:6-15

Paul and his fellow apostles were diligent workers. They were selfless in the pursuit of preaching the Word and spreading the truth. However, there were many opposed to the message of God. In an attempt to stop the apostles’ work of spreading the light of the gospel, unbelievers spread lies about how and what they were doing.

When face to face with false accusations, Paul responded with a composed and positive demeanor. First, Paul calmly denounced anything immoral or unethical in what the apostles were doing. He explained that the same God who brought light into darkness has made light shine in their hearts. As a result of this light, they understood the gospel and desired to spread the good news.

Paul then acknowledged that, like all people, believers go through challenging times. Paul puts a positive spin on his examples by explaining it could be worse. Then, as if to answer the skeptics, Paul shares that it is faith that keeps them from losing heart.
