God The Promise Keeper

Hebrews 11:8-16
By some estimates, there are over 7,000 promises in the Bible and God will keep every one of them! God is a promise keeper and we, as His people, should also be able to be called promise keepers.
In Galatians 3, Paul is telling the church in Galatia that God keeps His promises through Jesus Christ, the seed of Abraham. God promised Abraham that he would be the father of a great nation; Abraham would be blessed in order to be a blessing to the rest of the world. Abraham passed away and 430 years later God gave the law to Israel at Mt. Sinai. Since Israel struggled to keep the requirements of the law, did they miss out on the promises of God? Paul says no! The Law is given to show us how much we need God’s saving work in our lives. God keeps His promises even when we don’t keep ours.
Salvation through Jesus is the promise that God has kept for all people. We follow the promise keeper, so let us be keepers of the promise.
