Alone With God Is A Time Of Renewal
January 27th, 2021
Luke 5:12-17
It is easy to miss the clues into the spiritual practices of Jesus. The gospels are so full of His actions, His activities, His ministry, that the quiet moments can get lost. The stillness gets lost in the action.
It is the same in our own lives as well. Quite often, those moments of silence, reflection, and visitation with God are overlooked or moved to the edges of our day. The busyness of life overshadows the moments we share with God. Here in Luke, we are reminded that Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.
Our spiritual practices must have their foundation in the lifeblood of Christ. Our relationship must be founded in the lifeblood of Christ. This happens when we make time in our hours and minutes each day to enter God’s presence. Our character is formed through our time spent in the presence of the One who created us and loves us.
Be intentional to spend time with God each day this week. See what a difference it makes!
