Finding Purpose

Ephesians 4:25-32
Several years ago, Kristin’s family had just moved to a new state. She planned to stay home with her young children but without an obvious mission, she struggled with her purpose. Every night Kristen prayed, asking God to use her somehow.
It wasn’t long until she was introduced to a single mom of three who was struggling with drug addiction. If God had revealed the whole story to her then, she probably would have walked away, too afraid to go on the journey. Instead, Kristen prayed that God would show her each next step and embolden her. Today, this sweet friend is 18 months clean and God is doing amazing things in her life.
We often talk about the importance of using our gifts to bless God and others, but we rarely look at the flip side. What if not using these gifts were equivalent to stealing from God?
You have something to offer to God and your community. Pray about where God wants to use you, and then ask God to give you the courage to step into that role today. Don’t let fear keep you from living into God’s purpose for you.

Very timely devotion! Is the scripture reference correct on this devotional? It doesn’t seem to go with it. But maybe I’m just missing the correlation.
