Ask God For An Undivided Heart
June 28th, 2020
Psalm 86:1-13
Our human nature is susceptible to the divisiveness that comes with pressure and stress: the dictates of life, family, work, emotions, and circumstances, which are often beyond our control, tap our inner resources. We cannot be ignorant of the fact that Satan uses and organizes these obstacles as a means of pulling us from the path the Lord has laid out before us.
As an American, I tend to see obstacles as signs that a certain path is closed. In our years in Bulgaria, we learned to see obstacles differently. From a Bulgarian believer’s perspective, obstacles are often an indication that the believer is in the center of God’s will. After all, one expects that the more we follow Christ and His ways, the more obstacles Satan throws in our path.
Living out our belief means committing our hearts to an undivided journey toward and with Christ. It is only as we spend time with Christ and seek His heart, that we are transformed into His likeness.
