There’s Hope!

Genesis 12:1-9
The story of Abram is critical to understanding God’s eternal story of hope and redemption.
Think about this: Abram didn’t have any scriptures to rely on. He didn’t have church history to inform him. He didn’t have, that we know of, any context for understanding the miraculous word which came from the Almighty God. What he did have was faith, and a clear directive: to leave what was familiar and to walk into the future God himself would show him.
God’s narrative is grander and more glorious than we can comprehend. God invites us into a story He has been writing since before the foundations of the world.
When it seems daunting or incredible that is because it is incredible. And yet, we are called to leave behind what we know and by faith enter the grand story God is writing in and through us. May we remember God is the central figure and we are but one thread of the tapestry He is weaving together.
