More Than I

Hebrews 13:1-12
It’s pretty easy in our culture to think that our walk with the Lord is only an individual “Jesus and me” kind of thing. If we aren’t careful, we might come to the place where we deceive ourselves into thinking that “I” am the only sheep in the pasture, and that my personal sin or holiness has no affect on anyone else.
The life we have in Jesus is not an isolated life. Above all, we are to love each other as brothers and sisters. Out of that love flows hospitality, compassion, marital and sexual purity, contentedness, respect for spiritual leaders, and theological integrity.
None of those behaviors happen in a vacuum. These commands lead us back to the reality that the Church—the gathered and sent people of God, living in unity with the Lord and each other for the sake of the world—is God’s will for the salvation of people.
How is God challenging you to live in community with your fellow sheep?
