Merciful Healing Will Come
April 26th, 2020
Psalm 6:1-10
Where else should a child go with his complaints but to his loving father? Something will break us in life. Count on it. But the affliction that comes to our bodies, minds, and emotions will be ultimately tolerable if we have comfort in the depths of our souls. Even in absolute agony we can have confident hope.
God allows us to wrestle with Him. In the end, we really want Him to win, to pin us to the mat in victory. Like Jacob, let’s not let Him go until we are assured of the blessing. Submission to His mysterious higher ways brings deep relief to our core.
Believing that God is rich in mercy, we wait in confident expectation that our full healing will indeed come. We long for the promise of Revelation 21:4, “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
