How Do You Learn?
March 17th, 2020
John 13:1-17
How do you learn? Educators tell us that there are three dominant learning styles: auditory, visual, and kinesthetic (hands-on movement). We all learn differently. We all need a teacher who understands us.
Jesus is the Master Teacher. He had all types of learners in mind—every single one of us—when He stepped into our world to teach us how to live. Life itself became His classroom as He called His disciples to learn from Him. He described, demonstrated, and invited His disciples into the shared ministry of His kingdom here on earth.
“I have set an example that you should do as I have done for you” (John 13:15). Jesus’ instructions are clear. Listen to Him. Watch Him. Join Him in His movement of bringing light to a world overcome by darkness. The only pathway to resurrection life is through death. Jesus laid down His life for others. We are to do the same.
What has Jesus been teaching you about humble servanthood? To whom is He calling you to lay down your life?
Class is in session. Pay attention to the Teacher.
