United in Christ

1 Corinthians 1:4-17
Have you ever watched an ant colony? The accomplishments of a single colony of ants is absolutely astounding and beautiful! They carve tunnels, harvest and store food along with all the other things that need to be done with efficiency that can’t be rivaled. They can operate with such efficiency because they work together to accomplish the goals of the colony.
It should be the same way within the church. We are different people with different talents and abilities who are united in Christ Jesus. Our common goal should be to follow God’s will in everything that we do. When He is continually our focus and the center of our lives, we should be able to work together in unity. This requires that we put aside our own agendas as we approach every decision and situation prayerfully seeking God’s will.
We serve the God of the all—the One for whom nothing is impossible. He is still in the saving business; He wants to work in and through you and me! Think of what would happen if we truly united in Christ!
