Transformed into God’s Image
April 17th, 2019
2 Corinthians 3:7-18
Have you ever played with Russian nesting dolls? The dolls have a top and a bottom that you take apart to find another doll inside. As a child, they seemed to go on forever. It’s a gift that keeps on giving. Salvation is also like that: there is always more for us to learn and discover as Christians. As we learn and grow, we are being transformed, changed in to the very image of God.
The Holy Spirit is changing us, all we have to do is let Him work and allow the transformation. This process of transformation is a gift. And like the gift of salvation, there is no checklist, no hoops to jump through, no litmus test. If we allow the Holy Spirit to work in us, we will be transformed into the glorious image of God.
As Christians, we are no longer blind. We can see God at work all around us; we can join in His work and reflect His glory. As we allow the Holy Spirit to transform us, to use us, to make our hearts His home, we reflect the glory of God.
