Louder than Words

Luke 7:18-30
Do as I do, not as I say. Have you ever known someone about which this was true? While they said one thing, they did another. Their words and actions did not match up so you were left to decide which was real. To say something is much easier than to do that same thing.
John the Baptist and his disciples had heard about Jesus raising the widow’s son from death. Curious to know more they come to Jesus inquiring about his identity. Who are you? Jesus calmly replied: look at what I’ve done, listen to what I’ve said.
You see, what Jesus said and what Jesus did matched. He was who he said he was and his actions proved that. You could trust that what Jesus said he would do, he would do.
If this is the case, then what truths has God shared with us that we may not have believed fully yet? Without the entire picture (imagine doing a puzzle without the box!), life can be confusing. However, Jesus calls us to lean fully into who he is as he guides us forward into the kingdom.
