Galatians 2:1-16
One of my favorite passages of scripture is 1 Corinthians 1:27-28, “But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are.”
The qualifying factor for ministry that James, Cephas, and John had witnessed was nothing more or less than God’s grace upon Barnabas and Paul.
A new believer came to me and told me he was asked to speak at the very rescue mission he had come from. He asked, “What should I say? I don’t know the Bible like you do.” I replied, “God is using you now. Tell them what you know now. Tell them about your transformation.” From an earthly standpoint, God uses the most unlikely of people. If you see the grace God has given someone, welcome them into service and encourage them to begin sharing their story.

We have a new Nazarene house church. GOD has opened doors we weren’t expecting. A person of faith and having ties to the homeless came and spoke about it mentioning 2 men desiring to read and understand English better. My wife, a retired school teacher, and I looked at each other and motioned that we should get involved. We have been doing this for several weeks and recently used the 23rd Psalm and The Lord’s Prayer is identifying the parts that make up a sentence. The one man asked me if The Lord was my Shepherd and I said yes and if he wanted to talk more we could. He asked why we were doing this for him and we explained about gifts and because He loves us we must share it in a way He would direct, to him. This door wasn’t even seen let alone opened, but there it was and we have walked through it. We believe God may be preparing us for work in the homeless area with this woman.
We are working to establish a new beginning Nazarene church, most likely with an agenda that God is has and we know he is preparing us for. We are a group of 5 at this point but we know how Yeshua had the Apostles for 3 years of instruction and we are patiently growing with Him.
The summer adult Sunday school lessons on Jeremiah have been good for our growth.
