God’s Word Reveals Christ

Luke 24:36-49
The most magnificent, clear, and authoritative revelation by God of himself is Jesus Christ. Through the Word of God, Christ reveals himself and His will to us. The context of Luke 22:36-49 is Jesus’ appearing to the disciples after His resurrection. It should be clear from today’s reflections that our Savior opened the minds of the disciples to understand through the Scriptures that God gives each servant of Christ the privilege of transformation into being Christlike by the heavenly power from on high.
All the laws of Moses and the teachings of the prophets and the psalms in the Old Testament were written for one main purpose: “Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem” (Luke 24:46b-47).
It is now our season to choose to be bold witnesses for Christ and His Word through the fullness of the Holy Spirit, purifying and powerfully enabling us as He has done for God’s genuine servants for the past two millennia. Will we let go and allow God, by faith, to be the steering force today and tomorrow in our lives?
