Love Is The Greatest
July 20th, 2017
1 Corinthians 13:1-13
To remain true to the faith is to grow in God’s abundant love. Love becomes more than a command, emotion, feeling, or ideal. Romantic notions cannot compare to this love that is beyond measure and prompts noble character.
Love equates to lifestyle for Christ followers. It is the most life-giving fruit of the spirit. It sets us apart and attracts the unbeliever. Who can help but succumb to a loving touch, word, embrace, or selfless act? We are surrounded by individuals desperately “looking for love in all the wrong places.” Discovering that Jesus knew everything about me and still loved me was my Damascus moment. I surrendered my control and He filled me with so much love that I couldn’t help but share it.
Everyone needs to be loved and heard. We all want someone to look beyond our actions and appearances; to see our heart. Have you been filled with the fullness of God’s love? When you are, it becomes as natural as breathing to love God and love your neighbor.
