To Share The Truth
March 31st, 2016
Romans 15:14-33
For Paul, preaching the gospel of Christ where it was not known meant traveling further and casting a wider net. The truth of the gospel that he shared never changed, but the places that he went and the methods by which he proclaimed the gospel of Christ were always changing for the sake of reaching the lost (1 Corinthians 9:19-22). Paul made sharing the gospel message a priority in his life, and he did this to glorify God and out of his love for others.
How many in your community have not heard the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ? Sure, most people have heard about the person Jesus, but how many have actually heard the truth of the gospel? Who He really is and what He really does? That truth will only be shared when our ambition to “preach the gospel where Christ was not known,” is driven by our love for others and our desire to glorify God. And then, “Those who were not told about him will see, and those who have not heard will understand” (Romans 15:21).
