Fear or Faith?

Numbers 24:10-19
Balak, the king of Moab, would have fit well into today’s corporate management culture, which believes that if you have a problem, you hire a consultant. The word was out: “If there’s cursing to be done, Balaam’s the one.” Balaam got the contract, but Balak didn’t read the fine print. “Did I not tell [you],” Balaam later reminded him, “I could not do anything of my own accord, good or bad, to go beyond the command of the LORD . . . ?” (Numbers 24:13). God had blessed Israel, and no one, not even a hotshot prophet, could change that.
We cannot manage God or leverage our position against Him, but we can respond with either fear or faith to what God is doing. While Melchizedek brought bread and wine to bless Abram for his victory (Genesis 14:18), Balak reacted in fear and sought to curse Moses and Israel. In the end, Balak brought destruction on himself and his nation. God is working. How will we respond? With fear or faith?

Fear; anxiety a lie of the enemy. Fear may be subtle. Worrying about the past to not repeat itself. The bible says that we do not have a spirit of fear but a spirit of power and sound mind. Perfect love, I believe the Love of God, casts out all fears. When we understand the love of God we can rest in His Presence. We live by faith and not by sight. Keeping our mind on the Great I AM and trusting in Him not leaning on our own understanding. Having a revelation of who Jesus is and having a relationship with Him can help us to not fear. God have mercy on us when we worry or are fearful. Help us to stay focus on YOU. YOU command us not to be anxious but in everything we praise and give thanks.
