God Is Faithful
June 22nd, 2015
Psalm 77:1-20
God is faithful, isn’t He? God does what He says He will do. So we need to remember this most in the midst of those moments when it seems like God is farthest away. Fear, worry, and doubt creep into our hearts and minds suggesting something else might happen.
Psalm 77:13 asks, “What god is as great as our God?” That’s a good question. The more we remember what God has done for us, the more we take on the very mind of Christ who saved us through death on a cross. Scripture and our own lives confirm this.
If we carefully look back and consider God’s work in Christ through His life, death and resurrection, we see that God’s power is made perfect in the weakness of a baby, the humble work of a carpenter, and the “defeat” of the cross.
We don’t need to look far to see that a redeeming and sanctifying God is at work in this world and in us. When we think all is lost, our minds might also linger on these things, and once again find our hope in Christ.
