God’s 20/20 Vision
July 13th, 2014
Psalm 33:10-22
God is more than the eternal eye in the sky. He’s not in some far-off place in outer space; His Presence is all around us. He knows what’s going on in our world—and in our lives. He sees when we need comfort, healing, guidance, enlightenment, even rebuke. He has unlimited vision–the ultimate extra sensory perception. Our medical X-rays, scans, and MRI’s pale in comparison!
While God especially sees the needs of those who fear Him (Psalm 33:18), He also “sees all mankind” (Psalm 33:13). He sees and cares about the “nobodies” of the world—the indistinguishable ones in earth’s vast horde of humanity. The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery bears this inscription: “Here rests in honored glory an American soldier known but to God.” Known but to God—He sees what no one else sees!
Want proof? Read the Gospels. Study Jesus’ caring ministry to the least, the lost, the lonely. That’s perfect 20/20 vision in action; the kind God has!
