Psalm 2:1-12
No matter what nation we call home, we may have personally experienced the vast difference between a righteous leader and the rule of the ungodly. Throughout history, when the ungodly gain power, people suffer and are oppressed. There is no way around it: we are subject to the scrutiny of others regardless of whether we agree with their judgment. Our lives are layered with various levels of authority. Beginning at birth, we are subject to the decisions of our first ruling authority: parents. Pity the poor child born to a parent on a power trip! On the other hand, blessed is the child whose parents love the Lord.
Every one of us stands in some level or position of authority. You exercise the ability to shape and mold history through the people you’ve been entrusted to lead.
How do you rule within your realm of influence: with an iron fist or a surrendered heart? The best litmus test of leadership is exhibited in those we lead. Let us lead as Jesus, whose followers become “oaks of righteousness . . . for the display of his splendor.” (Isaiah 61:3).

It’s not a perfect world, but it is perfect in bringing us to our knees!T
Thus, surely He is ruling the world, just not in the way we in which we can see. Each of us have freedom of choice; and, Satan deceives us into thinking his way is the most fun.
It takes faith to see our trials and tribulations as stepping stones to a deeper relationship with Him (whereas the joy in our heart comes out for others to see).
