A Faithful God
August 25th, 2013
Psalm 86:11-17
God proved His faithfulness to David. God continues to prove His faithfulness to us.
As a seminary student, I worked full time and went to school full time. I was not earning a lot of money. Most of my money went to pay my seminary bill. I recall that there were some days when I wondered where I would have the money to buy groceries. Then, unexpectedly, I received mail with some much-needed funds. At just the right time, God provided for my needs. God was faithful to me then and He still is faithful. When I didn’t have a job, He provided for me until I got a job. I am constantly learning of God’s faithfulness.
God asks for us to have an undivided heart. What does that mean? It means to only follow God, no matter what the circumstances of our situation may be. There may be times in our lives when we may want to give up, but God says that if we cling to Him, He will take care of us. He will not leave nor forsake us. We must be constantly learning from God and relying on His faithfulness.
