Guilty Or Innocent
October 13th, 2012
Job 27:1-12
Isn’t it a wonderful thing to have a clear conscience? There is nothing quite as good as being able to put your head down on your pillow at night and know, without doubt, that you are blameless. Job has been recognized as a person of integrity. His integrity is still intact. What is that worth? What price tag could you place on that? Imagine being tested beyond imagination, and being found blameless. While none of us would want to walk the path of Job, not one of us would mind being able to have his testimony.
Well, the good news is you can be found blameless: without guilt, uncorrupt, and innocent. How? As we give God our total obedience through the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit (compare Job 13:15 and 1 Thess. 5:23). This is not idle talk–it is total, total surrender.
Are you totally surrendered to God? Are you at his full disposal? Can he do whatever he wants with you?
