Children of God

Galatians 3:15-29
Unable to conceive, a couple adopted a baby from Guatemala. Shortly after they brought him home, they were pregnant. Now, they have four beautiful children. Three have blond hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. One has black hair, black eyes, and dark skin. Differences? They are obvious. Distinctions? No way.
Paul writes in Galatians chapter 3, verse 26, “For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus” (NLT). Look around. Do you see the differences? Distinctions? Not according to Paul.
What makes us children of God? The Law? Our religious practices? Our family heritage? No, there are too many differences in these and none bring us into right standing with God.
What, then, makes us children of God? It is through faith in Christ Jesus. Distinctions? No way. “. . . for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (3:28).
