Romans 5:12-21
Imagine this conversation with God…
“What do I have to do?”
“Nothing. It’s already been done,” says God.
“How much does it cost?”
God says, “Oh, don’t worry about the cost. It’s a free gift.”
Look for the word “gift” in Romans chapter 5. Find the “how much more.” Try to find the part where God asks something of you.
“But where sin increased [How much more can God take?], grace increased all the more [How much more will you receive?], so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Rom. 5:20b—21).
We have come full circle: having been justified by faith, we have peace with God . . . (Rom. 5:1). How much more will you receive?
