Ephesians 6:1-9

James is a good worker. He is creative, dedicated, and committed. His only problem was that he did not like to receive orders. So, he started his own company. He was accountable to no one, He could set his own agenda, salary, and schedule. Everything was great, until the day that he had a change of heart.

He came to realize that his attitude was deeper than just an entrepreneurial spirit. It had to do with his desire to obey nobody but himself. Even worse, he took such an independent attitude to church. He became selective in what he listened to and whom he followed. Even in matters of the spirit, he set his own agenda, ethics, and standards.

Finally, he faced his self-centered ways. He realized that submission is a matter of the heart. He gave his heart to Christ, and things changed dramatically for him.
