We Shall Be Changed!

1 Corinthians 15:50-58
A creative nursery attendant took 1 Corinthians 15:51 and placed it as a sign over the cribs in a church nursery. It read, “We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed” (KJV). Paul seems to connect what follows that verse with the sounding of the seventh and last trumpet of the Book of Revelation, where “the mystery of God will be accomplished” (Rev. 10:7).
One fall in the full gloom of World War II, a church in the heart of London decided to have a service of thanksgiving. The centerpiece of the festive decorations that adorned the front of the church was a sheaf of corn. The thanksgiving service was never held. During the night, the enemy’s bombs demolished the church.
For months, the ground lay desolate. However when summer came, corn began to grow where the church once stood. Not even war’s desolation could destroy the life in each and every kernel. So will each and every one of us be gloriously changed!
