Finish The Work

Exodus 40:1-8

In my opinion, moving is not fun. Sure, new homes and new opportunities can be very exciting, but I am simply not a fan of packing, transporting, unpacking, and arranging. It is truly a lot of work!

In the latter part of Exodus, God is preparing His people to move into a new tabernacle. He instructs them how to hold a building campaign to pay for the necessary materials. He gives instruction on how to construct various parts of the holy dwelling. Finally, God tells Moses exactly how to set it all up.

Exodus 40:33 tells us that “Moses finished the work.” He did all that God had asked of him. Is there something that God is asking you to do? Perhaps it has nothing to do with moving to a new home or getting a new job. It might be something easy or it might be a lot of work. Regardless of the level of difficulty, if God has asked you to complete the task, consider going the distance and finishing the work. God wouldn’t recruit you for the job if He didn’t think you were the best one for it.
