Investing In Each Other

Matthew 28:16-20
Have you ever had to drive a long distance by yourself? It can be a lot more pleasant to have someone with you to entertain and share in the driving. We are made to be in community; the charge to make disciples of all nations is one of the ways we do so. Ministry becomes easier when we partner with each other.
Making disciples is not just a one-time act. It requires an investment in the lives of others, acting as mentor and friend, and a commitment to walking with people through good times and bad. We are called to carry on the work of being present with people, like Jesus was present with His disciples and continues to be present with us, and sharing the gospel with everyone we encounter. What an incredible task given to us!
The good news is we also do not have to do this alone. God is with us every step of the way; we have a community of believers to encourage us as we go.
