The Triple Witness

1 John 5:6-12
While visiting with friends, a young man thumbed through their wedding album. He questioned, “Who is this girl in your wedding I want to meet her. I’m going to marry her someday.” Something about her represented the person he wanted to marry. They introduced the couple, and three years later they were married. When people want to meet someone, what do they do? They find a mutual friend to introduce them.
In our spiritual life, that someone is Jesus who introduces us to God. God gives us eternal life, and we can only find this through His Son. In our current culture, we find many people who believe in God, but they do not believe Jesus is the Son of God. There were false teachings during Jesus’ time. The three witnesses—water baptism, blood on the cross, and the Spirit’s continual presence—and God himself testify that eternal life only comes through His Son, Jesus Christ.
While eternal life is an endless life, it is, also, a quality of life available to all who believe and accept Jesus as Savior.
