Jude 1:17-25

My daughter is a delightful tiny human, although I might be biased. She has a rather extensive and active imagination. She has a sweet spirit and a compassionate heart. She’s the twinkle in her daddy’s eye. However, there is an attribute she’s unable to add to her resume. Like most children, she’s yet to learn the art of being patient.

It’s my understanding that sometimes our heavenly Father has the same problem with His children. Imagine that?! I can’t speak for anyone besides me but waiting is hard! Fortunately, God doesn’t expect us to wait alone. His love is the perfect waiting room. He longs for us to sit close to Him while we wait on His perfect timing. Our humanness makes this rather difficult at times. We are prone to endless worry, anxious thoughts, and trying to “help” God out by taking matters into our own hands. In the end, the only harvest we reap from these feeble efforts is to demonstrate a lack of patience and trust in our Creator.

Practice waiting for God in His love.
