Mercy That Never Fails

Becoming a parent is taking a step out into the unknown. Parenthood is not for the faint of heart. Just when you think you have it all figured out, your child will find new ways to completely surprise you. Those surprises can be good or bad.
The Bible compares God to a father. He’s our Heavenly Father. Just like earthly children, we put Him through pain and agony. One difference is that God did know what being our father was going to be like.
God loves us so much that He created us even with the knowledge of our failures. Just like good parents continue to love their children in the midst of mistakes, God continues to love us.
This truth would be amazing all by itself, but there’s more. God chose to rescue us from our mistakes. He made a way for us to be redeemed even though it cost Him everything. That’s the kind of Father He is. He’s a good Father. His mercy never fails to reach us or rescue us as long as we put our trust in Him.
