Proverbs 22:1-12

My oldest son is an avid Lego fan. He loves to build with the plastic blocks whether it is a boxed set or a creation of his own. Lego is always designing new sets and retiring old ones. Every once in a while, my son will want a particular set that is no longer sold in the stores. He has discovered eBay, the online auction site. The problem is, it has taken a while for him to understand exactly how an auction works. Sure that dinosaur figurine is listed at $10 but it still has several days for bidding, driving up the price. Nicholas is learning that everything has some value and value can change depending on how much it is desired.

People tend to value money. We spend so much effort, energy, and time trying to get more so we can spend more. Our lives get tangled up in making and spending; who we are takes on a tinge of money. God, however, places value on other things.

Where do you place value in life? Allow God to help you further align value with him.
