Acts 10:30-38

After demonstrating His omnipotence in a powerful wind, an earthquake, and fire, God spoke to Elijah in a gentle whisper (1 Kings 19:11-12). Often, people expect God to speak in a demonstratively supernatural way. Yet, in the stillness of the quiet after the storm, the Lord often does His best work. He uses the demonstration to engage us and then speaks in a gentle whisper.

Cornelius was praying when a man in shining clothes appeared to him. “God has heard your prayer and remembered your gifts to the poor” (Acts 10:31). God hears every prayer uttered by His children. However, He does not always answer quickly. Yet, it is important that every believer pray with an expectation that God hears and will answer. “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you,” said our Lord Jesus (John 15:7).

What do you need from God today? No request is too huge for God! Is your marriage on the rocks? Ask Him to help you. Are you confused, unsure which way to turn? Ask Him to guide you! God hears and He answers prayer!
