Just how far can “good” take us, anyway? If the opposition flexes his muscle and his battle plans seems to have you outnumbered and cornered, can you win out by practicing good? Goodness hardly seems like a tool that you would take into battle. Yet, we are reminded here just how powerful is the cause and effect of goodness.
Don’t underestimate the power of goodness. It is a strong and forceful characteristic of God and his people. There is an irresistibility to goodwill. Exploits of goodness do have an effect on persons and upon the situation. Fight off the temptation to seek revenge or to strike back in some demonstration of power. Just practice goodness.
The effect of goodness is staggering. Goodness can overcome a large amount of agitation and stress. It can change forever the destiny and fortunes of the predicament in which you find yourself. Virtues like goodness may seem to be plain or restrained. Frankly speaking, goodness has a strong effect on the state of affairs.
