Colossians 1:15-29

It seems ironic that in a world where we can send information across the planet at the speed of light, we still struggle so desperately with actually communicating a clear message to each other. Our emotions and pride too often get in the way and confuse the only message that really matters. The apostle Paul reminded the church at Colossae, that his voice would be used to proclaim Jesus, and so should theirs (Colossians 1:28).

We are to proclaim Jesus. It is so important that we do so with the intent of building people up. It is equally important that we do this with a genuine, love driven desire that they might know Jesus and receive the glory that we have set our own hope upon.

If we do not make it our goal to “present everyone fully mature in Christ,” we will continue to share information in frustration. Yet, if for the sake of love, for the sake of glorifying God, as Paul desired, we do this, then we will intentionally break down barriers that hinder the sharing of this ever so important and life changing proclamation!
