1 Corinthians 12:12-31
The Earth is a beautiful thing to look at. I particularly love pictures from space that show an entire hemisphere at a time. These images remind us that the Earth is one planet that is made up of countless intricacies, every one absolutely vital to the rest. Our God has put together a creation that is founded on diversities working together for one cause. So is His Church.
There is little debate that people are diverse; from the way we look, to the food we like, to the music that soothes us–in fact, we are often recognized by our distinctions. Unfortunately, Christians have been known to assume that certain things that are different from us or from what we like must mean that they are sub-Christian. Could it be that God delights in diversities working together for His glory?
God intentionally made us diverse, but our diversities need to be united for His glory! What can we do to be a part of the Church that embraces diversity united in Christ?
