Philippians 4:4-12

Three-year old Logan is a bundle of energy who requires constant supervision. It is the job of the adults in his life to patiently instruct, by word and example, so he can learn appropriate behavior and important motor skills. The goal is that he will be able to feed himself, dress himself, wait his turn, and reach other developmental milestones. Hopefully, he will continue learning as he becomes a fully mature adult.

Our prayer is that someday, Logan will learn of the gift of grace provided by the death and resurrection of God’s Son, and that he will accept Jesus into his heart. Hopefully, other mature Christians will disciple him by word and example, so that he can begin a lifelong journey to spiritual maturity. Even more important than the road to physical and developmental maturity, the ultimate goal is for him to become a mature Christian, who shares God’s love with those around him.

Are you growing? A life surrendered to God can be transformed by His love. A life rooted in Him will be built up and develop in maturity and understanding.
