Psalm 116:10-19

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Heb. 13:8). We have a small group Bible study in our home, and we completed a study about Jesus in the 21st century. Do you know what we discovered? The same characteristics about Jesus and his promises that were stated in the Bible are still true today. Psalm 102:27 states, “But you [God] remain the same, and your years will never end.” What wonderful security.

My husband and I have such a treasure in our grandchildren. We watch our two grandsons frequently, so we have the privilege of having devotions and praying with them. One day, when our grandsons were getting ready to go on vacation with their parents, I mentioned that I would miss them. Immediately, one of our grandsons hugged around me, patted my shoulder, and shared, “It’s okay, Grandma. Jesus will be with you.” What a heritage! Psalm 102:28 is perfectly correct. Our children will live in his presence and even their descendants will be established before God.

Let’s allow Jesus’ love to shine through us so that God’s loving presence will continue for posterity.

Beautiful and very encouraging devotion. I grew up in a Christian family and on the day I received Jesus as my personal Savior my life was changed for ever. It’s always a joy as I watch my daughter, nephews and nieces who grew up in our home love and serve the Lord. It’s always a joy to watch them as they keep growing and livng in His presence. You are absolutely right about Psalm 102:28.I am a living witness of its fulfillment. Be blessed.
