Luke 5:17-26
Fear! It is a perfectly normal human emotion. However, what does God tell us humans in Isaiah 41:10, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
It is in those moments when we see God do remarkable things. The devil is a fear monger. Either God is greater or all that we claim to believe is a fairy tale. I am convinced that people stand amazed and give praise to our God when ordinary people demonstrate faith in him.
Examine this God who expects us to have no fear in these days: He is the master of all life; he has everything under his authority; he is the God of hemispheres, stratospheres, atmospheres, and every sphere; he is God over cancer, disease, affliction, heart trouble, diabetes, chaos, and depression; he is God all by himself and it is this God that dares us to trust and obey.

“. . . it is this God that dares us to trust and obey.”
The only way that trust is learned is through obedience; and the wayobedience happens is through trusting. We just have to take that first step to experience our amazing and awesome God.
(One way to overcome fear is by experiencing that fear is that beginning of wisdom. Another way is in not having any choice – as in death).
