Actions Speak Louder Than Words

I see that the social network Facebook® can be a very revealing diary of disgruntled people. I am amazed at what they openly confess to all the world. A proverb tells us, “Even a fool is thought wise if he keeps silent” (Prov. 17:28a).

What are words anyway? They are the expression of a thought. We have to ask some people what they are thinking (although we don’t have to prompt many on Facebook). By their words they reveal that thought. John says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1). Christ is the expression of God’s thought. Later we read, “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us” (v. 14a). Now the words are expressed through action in a living, moving being.

If actions speak louder than words, Christ spoke volumes with his. He expressed who he really is; in fact, who God really is.

I am having trouble with my audio clips. Today’s and several others cut out before the entire devotional is read. Is there a problem from your service or is it all on my end? I really enjoy listening to the clips each morning.
