Psalm 15:1-5
Psalm 15 gives both positives and negatives for holy living. While we prefer to major on the positive, we recognize that God has a standard of conduct: for the New Testament believer, it is Christlikeness.
A gathering of churches in 2007 in Solomon Islands was one of the most memorable to the church leaders, delegates, and visitors. Following the message and altar response, one of the older pastors walked slowly and humbly to the front of the sanctuary. Through his tears, he called a fellow pastor to come stand beside him. The older pastor openly confessed wrong attitudes toward the pastor and his church. In the spirit of reconciliation, the pastors embraced each other.
Holy living results in deep commitment to walk uprightly, to speak the truth in love, and to not harm or speak evil of one another. The result is loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength and our neighbor as ourselves.
