The Love Note

1 John 4:7-21
“I love you, do you love me? Check one: __yes __no”
The note was signed by a pretty little girl and handed to me by a friend. The note was a step of faith. She was being vulnerable. How would I respond? The reason for the note was simple. She wanted to express her feelings for me and wanted to know my feelings for her. By my behavior, she could not be sure of my feelings.
“I love you, do you love me? Check one: __yes __no”
The note was signed by God and delivered by his only Son. The note was a step of faith. God was being vulnerable. How do I respond? He wanted to express his feelings for me and because of my behavior, he could not be sure of my feelings for him.
When this happened, what was going on in my life?
“I love you, do you love me?” Check one: __yes __no
How will you respond today? Not sure? Oh, it’s easy, “We love because he first loved us”(1 John 4:19).
