Blessing or Curse?

“Celebrate diversity!” shouted the education professor.
One place that Sharon can count on diversity to be celebrated is in a classroom. When she was in college, preparing to be a teacher, she learned about how to celebrate diversity in every class. There are usually different ethnicities in every classroom, and with that comes different cultural traditions, different languages, different ways of dressing, and different ways of interacting with each other. It is hard to imagine how boring this world would be if we all had one language and one culture.
I visited a church in Montana, Bulgaria several years ago. We did not speak the same language. It made us laugh that we had such difficulty communicating, but we had one thing in common: We worshiped God together and knew the same Creator and Savior! The smiles and hugs we gave each other communicated this common love and understanding.
