Hebrews 11:1-6

The interpreter’s tongue froze as he tried to comprehend the statement of the preacher that morning in chapel: “If God does not do as He says, then His name is at stake.” Finally, the interpreter explained what he felt the words meant. The students came one by one to the altar and recommitted their lives to the service of the Lord. They accepted the challenge to offer themselves in faith to God’s call.

Some graduates received ridicule from relatives and friends for their commitment. Some were called to very low-income churches and others to places where magic and witchcraft were prevalent. Some graduates were called to minister to enemy tribes. Some died from sicknesses encountered in remote places. The most adverse situation or circumstances did not deter God’s call upon their lives.

By faith, the graduates went forth holding firm to God’s promises. The church grew and missionaries where sent. “God’s name is at stake; He will go with you wherever you go. Just trust in Him.”
